For me the best moisturiser I have used over the last 14 years. Its extremely thick and soaks into the skin really quickly. Its easier to use with the dispenser and soothes the skin well. I always use this before using any other treatment on top. I apply it very thickly so I am white all over and within a few minutes its soaked in. Definitely takes the redness away and provides some comfort. It does make you feel sticky at first but soon that passes. There is also another version which is an ointment, its much thicker and harder to apply but is good to rotate the two so your skin doesn't get used to it, I also think it lasts longer as doesn't soak in as quickly.
What the internet says Diprobase is an emollient, specifically targeted at eczema and dermatitis. It is an occlusive emollient, meaning that it restores the layer of oil on the surface of the skin to slow water loss. This gives its tendency to make the applied area sticky.
